Just two more weeks until I move and I have so much to do
and loads of forms to fill in. Still, I'm taking July off and taking a few
trips and enjoying Summer in the UK (if we have one!)
For a start I've just booked to go to Scotland and I'm so
excited! I've never done much of Scotland before so I'm taking a friend up to
hike up Ben Nevis. It's one of those cheap holiday breaks that I found on
mybudgetbreak that is going to wipe me out but it's going to definitely be
worth it. Apparently it takes 7-8 hours to hike up Nevis and back so I will be
worn out.
I'm making the most of the Megabus overnight sleeper coach
though. They are brand new and about £30 each way from London to Glasgow so at
least I know I will get some rest. I just hope I don't get travel sick! Then
it's a train from Glasgow to Fort William and we're camping too. I haven't been
camping in years so I'm also really excited about that.
I'm hoping to also go kayaking while we are up there.
Kayaking around all that incredible scenery will be amazing. I just hope the
weather holds out and we get to enjoy it all. I'll be gutted if it's cloudy and
we get to the top of Ben Nevis and can't actually see anything because it's
cloudy. Which reminds me, I need to buy a new waterproof jacket. And sleeping
bag for that matter!
Then I've also got a trip to Manchester for someone's
birthday. I do miss Manchester so much so it will be great to get up there. Not
sure if we will be heading into town much but it will be nice to see everyone
again. And I'll also get myself some sports nutrition stuff as well while I'm
there from Activate Nutrition. I'm in desperate need of some whey protein for
the gym.
I'm finally having my TV transported from back in the Middle
East. Not sure if it will work though. I've had a look at the instruction
manual and also online and I think it will work. Even if it doesn't work when
plugged into the aerial, connecting a digibox or DVD player should still work.
That will go nicely into my new place. It’s a Toshiba but I’m guessing
originally designed for Dubai so we will just have to wait and find out.
I’m looking at starting up a new business with a friend of
mine. I won’t go into details just yet but I’m really excited about the
prospect. It will have to be on the side, as to begin with, it won’t be earning
anywhere near enough money to be paying us full-time wages but still, the
prospect of a potential business and equity for if it does well and sells is so
exciting.
I’m really excited about Scotland, especially as I should be
able to sleep all the way there and all the way back. Hopefully it’s one of
many cheap short breaks I will be taking this year. Most likely all of them in
the UK but I am definitely going to be making more of my weekends from now on.
I just hope that work doesn’t get too busy that I have to be working weekends!
I love a good weekend break!
